African Pearls, the most purest salt at 98.5% - 99.5% pure sodium chloride, is found only in Lake Assal. The "Pearl" like shape is created by nature, as the lakes shores gently polish and tumble the salt. African Pearls have a high content of trace minerals, with elements from the Red Sea, and rain washed minerals from Lake Assal's neighboring mountains.
